I did effort this approach but since I don't accept a hard disk (HDD) so I don't think this will work, I tin can't see a hard drive option in the BIOS, it just says "not detected" under the particular "hard drive". I accept a solid state drive (SSD) which is not an add on, it's the manufactory version that I purchased with the original computer. The kicking priority is "Legacy Start" I believe. Whatever suggestions would be most welcome.
Thanks.

PXE boot means its trying to get boot information from the network adapter - it is non trying to boot from any hdd/ssd.
Its a bios Setup setting.
It too might exist your SSD is non plugged in, or defective and its reverting to PXE boot.

Hello JakeND,
I followed your recommended steps, the USB does need to exist blank as any data on information technology will exist deleted. I now have two options when I start the broken PC with the USB plugged in, these are as follows:
"Which type of installation do yous want?
one. Upgrade: Install Windows and keep files, settings and applications
The files, settings and applications are moved to Windows with this option. This option is only bachelor when a supported version of Windows is already running on the computer.
2. Custom: Install Windows just (avant-garde)
The files, settings and applications aren't moved to Windows with this choice. If you desire to make changes to partitions and drives, kickoff the computer using the installation disc. We recommend backing up your files before you continue."
I tried selection i but it does not piece of work, I receive the following message subsequently trying selection 1:
"The upgrade option isn't available if you start your computer using Windows installation media."
I am reluctant to try option 2 every bit I don't want to lose whatever files. I don't understand your previous advice "make sure windows is active". I'yard non sure how I can do this if the calculator will non commencement?
Any further advice volition be much appreciated.
Thank you.

The SSD is congenital in, it is not an add on or plug in device.
The post-obit are the Boot settings which are currently shown in the BIOS:
Kick Mode [Legacy Back up]
Boot Priority [Legacy First]
USB Boot [Enabled]
PXE Kick to LAN [Enabled]
EFI
Legacy
Network Boot: Realtek PXE B08 D00
SATA ODD : PLDS DVD-RW DA8A5SH
Whatever communication on the settings or on how to determine if the built in SSD is lacking would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
